Review: On this 7" the second vinyl release in recent weeks from this fine Irish purveyor of fine electronica features the fresh sounds of Buckminster Fuzeboard, who freaked us out last week on the Psychonavigation 12", and a lush folk number from Hector & Elgordo. Sticking to their guns Buckminster drop a skanking rumble of a track, opening with swirling strings that grab your senses and get you ready for the slow ass break that drops in and fills the space with a skank. Minimal bass drops that work perfectly and subtly show the way forward, imagine Gescom's 'Go Sheep', in a more epic vein and with that Irish lilt that Buckminster give to their productions. Another fresh production from the Emerald Isle thats backed by the sunset ode 'Summer Is Now', a simple guitar lick backed by refreshing vocals and perfect for those early summer evening remenisces. The Irish eyes are smiling, as they say... [Boomkat.com] |
