Review:
Comprising of 6 trax, 3 each from the respective artists it traverses the genres of IDM and takes in all of the tricks of the trade, from skewed Skam-esque dark electronics of CJC’s ‘Elastics’ with its clattering watery drums and fuzzy noises backed by poignant melodies and lush strings to build a superb track of trademark electronics. Doubled up by the ambience of ‘Lull’ that floats along and takes you with it across a soundscape tentatively conjured up by CJC and is sure to stamp his name on the scene, check.
Flip over and Buckminster Fuzeboard displays his skills across three cuts, but head straight to the awesome ‘Slow Car’ with its skanking slow break and lush Rhodes keys, sparkling electronics play in the background to the groove which carries superbly and is a track that will doubtless be a chilled favourite for many a listener, don’t rest as we have limited copies of this release and there are some superb moments on here, and the artists will surely continue to create quality music and a dedicated following with trax like this.
